As of the 14th September 2020, Boris Johnson has tighten the social distancing rules and has made it clear that gathering no bigger than 6 people can take place as there is been a rise in coronavirus especially within young people. There will be fines set in place if anyone breaks the rule of gatherings more than 6 people. Mr Johnson has previously said on numerous occasions’ if England does not follow the social distancing guidelines expect there to be a second wave of Covid-19’
There are certain exemptions in place e.g. Work and educational establishments are allowed to continue with a larger capacity of people as long as they are following the social distancing rules and are looking out for any common Covid-19 symptoms.
However Funerals, weddings and sport activities can continue with a number of 30 people maximum. As of now these restrictions apply to those based in England with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland setting their own health and safety guidelines. With all the uncertainty caused during this pandemic, there is a new announcement that all restrictions applied could be lifted by the end 2020.
